Huawei Launches Y5p smartphone – for just R1,899

Yes, you are not dreaming. Since its debut, smartphones from the HUAWEI Y Series range have been designed to offer a large display, long-lasting battery and a good amount of storage for users.

The newest member of the HUAWEI Y Series, the HUAWEI Y5p, is now available in SA.

The HUAWEI Y5p sports a 18:9. 5.45-inch HUAWEI FullView Display with 12.5 percent more content thanks to its high screen-to-body ratio of 81.2 per cent.

Available in Midnight Black and Phantom Blue the Y5p comes with a standard 2GB RAM and 32GB storage and uses a triple slot design that can house two nano SIMs and one Micro SD that supports an extendable storage of up to 512GB.

The device packs a 3020mAh battery that can support 17 hours of continuous video playback, up to 21 hours of 4G calling or 13 hours of internet surfing on 4G. In addition to a big battery, it supports AI Power-saving technology that can detect background apps that consume too much power and automatically shut them down.

The HUAWEI Y5p is equipped with an 8MP rear camera that supports HDR mode while the 5MP front camera lets users snap selfies with ease. The front sensor can automatically detect ambient light conditions and provide optimal photos.

The HUAWEI Y5p is powered by MediaTek’s octa-core processor that includes eight Cortex-A53 cores together with Huawei’s very own AI scheduling technology.
