Realme, has launched the C75 smartphone in South Africa to make flagship-level artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities accessible to all.
Available from Vodacom for R5,999, the Realme C75 is a mishap-proof phone for young users with busy lives.
Investments
The company said it has made massive investments in AI research and development, enabling it to bring features such as AI Clear Face and AI Smart Loop to affordable devices like the C75.
“AI Clear Face enhances face clarity in photos, while AI Smart Loop predicts user intent and offers relevant actions based on screen content.”
Realme has a serious competitor in the market.
At R3,499, Vivo’s Y19s grabbed consumers attention, especially when many were recovering from Jaaanuaaary blues and haven’t managed to replenish their pockets as yet.
Realme will be hoping to take grab a piece of the pie in the entry-level smartphone market.

The company said the “unbreakable” Realme C75 boasts exceptional durability for smartphone users with active lifestyles.
“The smartphone achieves IP69, IP68, and IP66 ratings for dust and water resistance and is the world’s first Rugged Smartphone certified by TÜV Rheinland. ArmorShell Glass makes the screen more resistant to cracks and chips.”
The device has features a 5 828mAh battery, 45W fast charging, reverse charging (6.5W), a 6.72” 90Hz FHD Display, and a Helio G92 Max Chipset.
“The Realme C75 is built to be a reliable daily companion. A 50MP AI camera and 8MP selfie camera capture memories in high detail and vivid colours,” the company said.
