Huawei launches new nova 11i smartphone in SA

Tech giant Huawei has launched the nova 11i in South Africa, the latest addition to the nova family.

Huawei said new smartphone showcased the brand’s dedication to empowering young individuals in their “pursuit of dreams”.

“Since the nova product line’s debut in 2016, Huawei has consistently redefined the “flagship lite” smartphone category, offering young users a fusion of innovative design, imaging technology, and a cutting-edge operating system that perfectly balances technology and style,” the company said.

Display

The nova 11i features a 6.8 inches (17.27cm) FullView display and 1mm ultra-narrow bezels that push the screen-to-body ratio to 94.9%.

Cameras

The Nova 11i has a 16MP front-facing camera and a dual rear camera with a 48MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor, allowing users to take stunning pictures and videos.

Processor

The smartphone is controlled by the Snapdragon 680 processor and accompanies 8GB of RAM. The 128GB of inner stockpiling limit can be extended utilising a microSD card opening, giving adequate space to store every one of your information.

Battery

The nova 11i boasts a 5000 mAh battery 40W Huawei SuperCharge Turbo technology, which takes the battery to 60% in just 30 minutes.

The nova 11i is available at the Huawei online store priced at R5 999 or go to selected network providers.

Meanwhile, Huawei and professional football club, SuperSport United, have rekindled their partnership to enhance the technological capabilities and digital presence of the team.

Huawei Vice President of Operations, Akhram Mohamed, said the company’s products and technology innovations will be the key driving force at SuperSport United.

“Huawei’s advanced technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computer vision will support and monitor players performances and provide analysed data for the technical team.”

SuperSport United CEO Stanley Matthews said football has had a technological explosion in recent years with data analytics and performance measurement driving recruitment and retention decision making around players.
