Lenasia Police Warn Residents of Spike in Robberies in the Suburb

The Lenasia Police Station said it is experiencing an increase in reports of robberies in Lenasia and there is a desperate need to reduce such crimes.

The police station has warned the community be on the lookout for two criminals robbing residents in the early hours of the morning at the corner of Hydrangea and Bamboo Street in extension 2. 

Spokesperson Bafana Ndimande said the suspects are operating in various areas. 

“The perpetrators also target their victims at Honeysuckle Street, Lenasia Extension 2. They rob victims, especially school learners, of cash and other valuables such as cellphones. We urge the victims of crime to come forward and lay criminal charges against these perpetrators.” 

Ndimande has urged the community to be vigilant at all times and report any criminal activities to the police.
