Three Killed, One Critically Injured in Head-On Crash on N4 Between Zeerust & Groot Marico

Three people have been killed and another critically injured after two motor vehicles collided on the N4 between Zeerust and Groot Marico in the North West.

Paramedics say on arrival at the scene on Thursday, they found the two wrecked cars on the side of the road.

ER24’s Russel Meiring said a man his 50s was seen lying inside one vehicle while a man and a woman were found in the other and another woman was found lying outside the same car.

“Medics assessed the patients and found that the two women and man had already succumbed to their numerous injuries. Nothing could be done for them, and they were declared dead. The man lying in the other vehicle was found with several injuries and was in critical condition. The man was treated and provided with advanced life support interventions before being transported to a nearby hospital for urgent care.”

Meiring said the details surrounding the incident are unknown, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
