[UPDATE] Businessman Hijacked in Atteridgeville & Taken Hostage Found Safe
A businessman who was hijacked north of Johannesburg has been found safe.
According to a tweet by crime activist Yusuf Abramjee, Zubair Ebrahim was hijacked earlier in Atteridgeville near Attlyn Mall.
In a tweet, Abramjee said Ebrahim was taken hostage but has since been found safe.
“Two armed men. White Fiat panel-van Reg HJ73YFGP.”
It’s unclear whether Ebrahim was targeted.
Earlier this week, businessman Yaseen Bhiku, an Indian national was kidnapped in Lenasia after returning from early dawn prayers at a local mosque.
It is unclear why Bhiku was kidnapped and there has been no indication of any ransom demands.
