One Killed, Two Injured in Weltevreden Park Crash

One person has been killed and two others injured after two vehicles collided head-on on JG Strydom in Weltevreden Park.

Paramedics say on arrival at the scene on Thursday, they found the cars in the middle of the road with a man believed to be in his 20’s trapped in one of the vehicles.

ER24’s Russel Meiring said local authorities were on scene for further investigations.

“Unfortunately, the man had already succumbed to his numerous injuries. Nothing could be done for him, and he was declared dead. A male passenger from the first vehicle was assessed and found to have sustained moderate injuries, while the second vehicle driver, a man in his 40s, was in a critical condition.”

Meiring said the injured patients were taken to hospital for further care.
