Huawei to launch P50 Pro and & P50 Pocket Premium Edition in SA
International technology giant Huawei will be launching its brand-new flagship and its very first horizontally folding smartphone in South Africa.
The devices that will be introduced to the South African market include the Huawei P50 Pro and the Huawei P50 Pocket Premium Edition.
The Huawei P50 Pro is the company’s new flagship smartphone, which boasts a True-Form Dual-Matrix camera, 3D True-Chroma 6.6-inch curved glass display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
It also features XD Fusion Pro, an improved imaging solution that incorporates a new super colour filter system, a True-Chroma image engine and super HDR technology to significantly improve detail, colour and dynamic range.
The Huawei P50 also supports an unprecedented 100x zoom with a total zoom range of up to 200x when used in conjunction with the wide angle and periscope lens.
At just 8.5mm, this device is also remarkably slim, and within this slim body is a 4 360mAh battery and boasts fast charging capabilities which supports both 66W Huawei SuperCharge and 50W Wireless SuperCharge.
The Huawei P50 Pocket Premium Edition features an all-new hinge system that folds the phone into an ultra-slim.
One of its main features is the selfie camera, which uses selfie algorithms and a large camera sensor to boost low light performance, allowing you to take superior, more atmospheric selfies.
The P50 Pocket Premium Edition has a 40MP True-Chroma Camera and is the first smart device to feature an Ultra Spectrum Camera, forming the main camera module, which is augmented with the image engine to produce images with vastly improved light intake and clarity.
The P50 Pocket Premium Edition also supports Super Privacy mode. For maximum privacy when the device is folded, the smartphone automatically disables the cameras, microphone and location, and re-enables them upon unfolding.
However, when folded, the Huawei P50 Pocket Premium Edition’s cover screen supports the display of notifications, schedule, calendar, music and weather, and allows you to control other features.
