Western Digital Unveils Innovative Solutions for 2020
The world’s largest and leading data storage company Western Digital says it wants to provide corporates, consumers and gamers peace of mind that their data will always be safely stored when using their products.
Western Digital held a roundtable discussion held in Johannesburg on Wednesday unveiling some of its plans for the new decade.
The discussion centered around the latest technological developments the company is making use of in its product solutions.
Western Digital, Senior Regional Manager for Africa, Ghassan Azzi says the company has employed innovations in its extensive lineup of storage solutions built for every consumer use.
“Western Digital Corporation is very much interested in the South African market, we are here, we have a team, we are continuing to invest, we need to grow this market and within the African continent, South Africa is always the first to have the new products and we always launch it here.”
At the recently held Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Western Digital showcased a few innovative products including the pocket-sized SuperSpeed USB 20Gbps portable SSD.
Some products local consumers can expect soon is an all-New 1TB SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Luxe USB Type-C that works with the latest USB Type-C smartphones and laptops, industry-First WD_Black P50 Game Drive SSD with SuperSpeed USB 20Gbps among others.
Azzi says people are increasingly consuming large amounts of information, and with that comes the need to store it safely, using product solutions that are capable, are of exceptional quality and that also allow for ease of use.
