[WATCH] No Word on Lenasia Businessman Yaseen Bhiku after Kidnapping
There is still no word on businessman Yaseen Bhiku after he was kidnapped in Lenasia.
Bhiku, an Indian national was apparently kidnapped on Tuesday after returning from early dawn prayers at a local mosque.
He was grabbed while standing next to another individual by a group unknown armed suspects travelling in a Mercedes-Benz SUV.
Bhiku did try and fight off the suspects before they kidnapped him.
Bhiku’s kidnapping is the latest in an increasing trend of abductions in the country.
Police have not confirmed the abduction, but the video of the incident has since gone viral with many residents appealing for the safe return of Bhiku.
It is unclear why Bhiku was kidnapped and there has been no indication of any ransom demands.
