[WATCH] Lenasia South Experiencing Low Electricity Power After Poles Collapse & Cables Snap
Lenasia south residents are experiencing low electricity voltage after two electricity poles collapsed and the cable snapped near the substation on Wimbledon road.
Itβs understood the incident happened early on Sunday morning, but it is unclear what caused the damage.Β
The electricity cables are lying in the veld, are live and have burned the grass around the veld, but have not spread any further.
It is believed that City Power technicians have been notified and attending to the fault.
Residents are advised to disconnect major appliances in case of a power surge and to treat all electricity points as live at all times.
