[WATCH] JMPD Officer Who Violated COIVID-19 Protocol to be Investigated

The Johannesburg Metro Police (JMPD) said an officer who wanted to conduct a breathalyser test while violating COVID19 protocols is being investigated.

In the video being circulated on social media, the officer is seen without a mask and blowing into a breathalyzer himself before asking the a motorist and his wife to do the same.

The JMPD’s Wayne Minnaar said the officers conduct was unprofessional.

“The couple wanted to know why he first blew into the breathalyser and then wanted to test the driver. The officer didn’t show any concern about contaminating the instrument or attracting COVID-19.”
