Two-Year Old Toddler Drowns in Pool in Midrand

A two-year-old child has drowned in a pool at a residence in President Park, Midrand.

Paramedics said on arrival at the scene, they found toddler lying near the poolside.

ER24’s Russel Meiring said the child was reported missing for a short while before being found and pulled from the pool by other residents on the property.

“Unfortunately, nothing could be done, and the child was declared dead by the Provincial paramedic.”

Meiring said the exact details surrounding this incident are unknown, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
