Two Killed in Vanderbijlpark after Head-On Crash with Bridge Support Pillar

Two men believed to be in their 30s have been killed in a head-on vehicle collision with the concrete support pillar of a bridge on the R57 in Vanderbijlpark.

Paramedics said on arrival at the scene on Saturday, they found the men trapped in their vehicles.

ER24’s Ross Campbell said: “The two men were found entrapped and having suffered fatal injuries. Nothing could be done for them and they were declared dead on arrival.”

Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
