Traffic Volumes on N3 to Pick Up from Wednesday

The N3 Toll Concession says traffic volumes on the main route between Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal have increase significantly.

Many holidaymakers will be travelling down to the coast ahead of the festive season and the public holiday on Thursday.

N3 Toll Concession operations manager Thania Dhoogra said despite the heavy traffic volumes, there have been no incident that have been reported along the route.

“Southbound volumes on the N3 toll route have consistently been recorded at approximately one thousand one hundred vehicles per hour since 9am this morning. These volumes are expected to increase to over one thousand five hundred per hour between 3pm and 6pm this afternoon.”

Dhoogra says the weather along the route also remains clear.
