Security Officer Shot & Wounded in CIT Robbery in Nancefield
A security officer was shot and wounded during a cash-in-transit heist in Nancefield, south of Johannesburg.
The CIT robbery tool place on Thursday morning.
Saaberie Chishty Ambulance Services arrived on the scene to treat the wounded guard.
“The patient was stabilised at the scene and airlifted to a medical facility for further treatment. We pray for the speedy recovery of the injured guard.”
Cash in transit vehicles have been targeted on an almost daily basis with the Cash-In-Transit Association of SA (Citasa) revealing that more then 50 cash-in-transit heists have been reported in the last two months.
