SA’s COVID-19 Death Tolls Climbs by 435

South Africa has recorded 435 more COVID-19 deaths due to the ongoing backlog by the Health Department.

Seventeen of the Coronavirus deaths occurred over the past 48 hours pushing the country’s total death toll to 97,955.

The latest data from the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICDshows that South Africa has recorded 3,056 new infections – it works out to a positivity rate of 8.8%. 

On the vaccine front, 30.8 million jabs have been administered in the country so far.
