Samsung Continues Innovation In New Decade Unveiling Three New Devices

As the world embraces the new decade, tech giant Samsung has continued innovating with the unveiling of the Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51, the latest additions to the popular Galaxy A Series, as well as the Galaxy Note10 Lite at a media event in Sandton, Johannesburg.

This launch event, Samsung’s first of 2020, highlighted the company’s continued efforts to bring pioneering technology to all South Africans by ushering   new decade of innovation.

Attended by members of the media, influencers, as well as brand ambassador and hip-hop star, Cassper Nyovest, the A Series launch event showcases a brand with a purpose.

 Director: Integrated Mobility, Justin Hume says Samsung is committed to bridging the gap between flagship features and affordability.

“We are looking at improving camera, we are looking at improving battery life, we are looking at improving the screen. These sound obvious and we are taking quantum leaps in that.”

While Hume did not say whether the next Galaxy to be launched on 11 February would be called the S11 or S20, he did share that it’s packed with innovation.

“I am going to leave it up to the imagination in terms of what the naming convention be, but I can tell you that there is an evolution that is coming through in some of the thinking around it there. This product and the products we that we are bringing to market, they are phenomenal. They’re not this little incremental improvements, they are gigantic leaps forward.”

The Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51, the latest addition to the highly successful Galaxy A Series will be released in the country in February while the Galaxy Note10 Lite will also be released in a few weeks’ time.

The Galaxy A71 has higher specs then the A51, which includes a 6.7in hole-punched display (with the same 32MP camera as the A51), 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It also has a fingerprint sensor and Dolby Atmos audio.

The Galaxy A71 is expected to sell for around R 12,999

The Galaxy Note 10 Lite is powered by an Exynos 9810 and features 6GB of RAM. It has a 6.7in edge-to-edge super AMOLED display and has single centred pinhole camera.

The Galaxy Note 10 Lite features the triple camera setup recently seen on the Galaxy S and Note flagships. The primary sensor is 12MP, while the others are a 16MP ultra-wide sensor and a 12MP telephoto sensor.

It packs a 4,500mAh battery and will have Samsung Pay as a digital banking feature

The Galaxy Note 10 Lite is expected to sell for about R 13,000.
