SA Weather Service Warns of Severe Thunderstorms Across Gauteng & Other Provinces
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) issued a level six warning for severed thunderstorms across parts of the country.
The weather bureau says severe thundershowers are expected on Monday over Gauteng, south-western parts of Limpopo and western parts of the Mpumalanga Highveld.
It also says there is a potential risk of flash-flooding especially in low-lying areas.
“Heavy downpours expected to result in flooding of roads, settlements and low-lying as well as danger to life.”
The Weather Service has advised people to stay indoors if possible and postpone or delay travel arrangements.
