SA Records 4,514 New COVID-19 Infections, 94 Deaths
South Africa has recorded another 4,514 COVID-19 infections.
This brings the total number of laboratory-confirmed cases to more than 3,590,300.
The National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) has reported 20 COVID deaths in the last 24 hours but warned that due to an ongoing audit by the Health Department there may be a backlog in cases reported.
As such, the NICD reported 94 fatalities over the last day which pushed the death toll to 94,265.
The NICD said there was a 10.6 % positivity rate.
The recovery rate stands at 95.5%, meaning over 3,429,498 people had recovered from the virus.
On the vaccination front more than 29.5 million doses have been administered.
The NICD said there has also been an increase of 183 hospital admissions in the past 24 hours.
