SA Record 6,672 New COVID-19 Infections, 181 Deaths
South Africa has recorded another 6,672 new COVID-19 infections.
This pushes the country’s known caseload since the start of the pandemic to more than 3,540,800.
This increase represents a 15.5% positivity rate.
One hundred and eight-one people have also died in South Africa after contracting the coronavirus, pushing the national death toll to 92,830.
On a positive note, so far 3,309,735 people have recovered.
On the vaccination front, about 28.5 million jabs of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered so far.
The NICD says there has also been an increase of 316 hospital admissions in the past 24 hours.
