Police Recover Stolen Cellphones & Other Equipment Worth R 170K in East London

Police have recovered over 149 cellphones and other equipment value at about R170,000 IN Potsdam outside East London.

The stolen good is believed to be from store in Qonce that was recently robbed by criminals.

The polices Mluleki Mbi said officers spotted the suspects vehicle in the area after fleeing the scene.

“On seeing the police, the suspects fled into the bushes. The air support was activated to assist in the search but the suspects managed to escape. The estimated value of the recovered goods is about R170 000-00. The vehicle was also confiscated by police.”
