Police Investigating after 7 Shot Dead & 5 Wounded in Kagiso Shooting

Gauteng police are investigating a case or murder and attempted murder after seven people were shot dead and five others injured in a shooting in Kagiso on the West Rand. 

It is understood a lone gunman entered a house on Saturday and shot the owner, his girlfriend including a neighbour. 

The police’s Brenda Muridili says investigations are continuing. 

“The street was busy as there was a wedding celebration nearby. Two more people were certified dead on the scene and two were rushed to hospital with gunshot wounds.” 

Muridili has appealed to anyone with information about the shooting to contact the police.
