Pilot Escapes Serious Injury After Plane Crashes in Lanseria
A pilot has escaped serious injury after performing an emergency landing on a farm off the R553 in Lanseria.
Paramedics and Lanseria Fire says on arrival at the scene on Friday they found the small aircraft upside down in a large field.
ER24’s Russel Meiring said the man believed to be in his 20’S had already managed to climb out of his aircraft.
“Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained only moderate injuries. Fortunately, there were no other occupants in the aircraft at the time of the incident.The man is currently being treated for his injuries and will be transported to a nearby hospital for further care.”
Meiring said the details surrounding this incident are unknown, but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
