[UPDATE] Owner of Security Company Shot Dead in Benoni

The owner of a security company has been shot dead in Actonville in Benoni on the East Rand.

The shooting happened on Friday afternoon.

While the exact circumstances surrounding the incident is unclear, it is understood the man was responding to a robbery when he was shot.

According to a tweet by Social Cohesion activist Yusuf Abramjee, the shooting may have been a hit.

“Mohammed Delair (35) was shot dead by two men. His pregnant wife was in the car at the time with him. Delair was the owner of A-Tech Security.”

The owner of the security company was believed to have been an active member of the community.
