OPPO & MTN Announce Partnership
Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo has announced that it is partnering with South African mobile operator MTN in a bid to provide an avenue for consumers to fall in love with their devices, access, play with and own the company’s technology artistry.
While MTN is leading mobile network in the country with over 29 million subscribers, Oppo’s smartphones have become sought after devices since the company’s launch in October 2020.
Oppo says by leveraging MTN’s subscriber base, it is able to catalyse the immediate availability of devices.
Head of GTM Operations at OPPO South Africa Liam Faurie says they are excited to be partnering with MTN.
“We believe in technology for mankind and with our affordable handsets, are able to reach an even wider audience.”
The Oppo smartphone range is aimed at all budget types and offers great features including large displays, bigger batteries and the latest in camera tech with AI, without compromising on performance.
OPPO also has on offer, a selection of high-end premium devices, including the new Reno series.
Nico Jacobs says having Oppo’s handsets available at MTN stores offers customers a wider selection of affordable devices that do not trade-off features for price.

Oppo has also announced that the A15 and A53s will be available in stores this month.
