One Killed, Another Serious Injured After Bakkie Rolls in Vereeniging

One person has been killed and another seriously injured after a bakkie capsized in Vereeniging.

The accident happened on Wednesday after the driver lost control of the bakkie suffering minor injuries.

ER24’s Ross Campbell said on arrival at the scene, they found a man lying by a gate in the entrance to a property just off the road.

“The patient showed no signs of life and was declared dead on arrival. Another man was found lying on the side of the road a few meters from the bakkie, in a critical condition. He required Advanced Life Support interventions which were administered by another private service’s ALS paramedic before the patient was airlifted by Medical Helicopter to hospital for further care.”

Campbell said local authorities were on scene for further investigation.
