Nine Injured after Bakkie Overturns in Carletonville

At least nine people have been injured after a bakkie overturned on the N12 outside of Carletonville.

Paramedics say on arrival at the scene on Friday they found the bakkie lying on its side.

ER24’s Russell Meiring said the patients were treated and thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further care.

“Medics assessed the patients and found that at least nine people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.”

Meiring said local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
