Man Seriously Wounded in Shooting Incident in Eikenhof

A 46-year-old man has been shot along the R550 in Eikenhof, south of Johannesburg.

Paramedics say on arrival at the scene, they found the man lying amongst the bushes on the side of the road.

ER24’s Russel Meiring said authorities were on scene for further investigations.

“Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a gunshot wound to his right leg, leaving him in a serious condition. The man was treated and provided with pain-relief medications before being transported to a Provincial Hospital for further care.”
