Man Killed, Teen Wounded in Rosettenville Shooting

A man has been killed and a 17-year-old boy wounded following a shooting outside a clinic in Rosettenville.

Paramedics say on arrival at the scene on Tuesday they found the man lying motionless on the side of the road while the teenager was sitting on the pavement.

ER24’s Russel Meiring said local authorities were on scene for further investigations.

“Medics assessed the patients and found that the man inside the car had already succumbed to his gunshot wound to his head. Nothing could be done for him, and he was declared dead. The boy was found with gunshot wounds to his arm and hand, leaving him in a serious condition.

The boy was treated and provided with pain-relief medication before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene to investigate the cause of this incident.
