Lenasia Man Arrested for Possession of Illegal Ammunition
Police have arrested a 24 years old man in Lenasia for illegal possession of ammunition.
It is understood the officers were on patrol on Thursday when they received a complaint of illegal ammunition at a house in Honeysuckle Street, Lenasia Extension 2.
The police’s Bafana Ndimande said on arrival at the address the officers were granted permission to search the house by an unknown man.
“They searched the room and found fifteen 9mm pistol live ammunition inside the jacket pocket. He was asked about the ownership of the ammunition and he gave an unreasonable explanation. The officers seized the ammunition and handed in as exhibit.”
Ndimande said the suspect was detained at Lenasia SAPS cells will appear at Lenasia Magistrates Court soon.
