Large Explosion Rocks Afghanistan Mosque – Heavy Casualties
A large explosion has rocked a Shia mosque in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar, apparently causing heavy casualties.
The blast at the mosque in the centre of the city took place during Friday prayers.
Al Arabiya reports that Taliban govenment spokesperson Qari Saeed Khosti said authorities were collecting details of the explosion, which took place days after ISIS claimed a bombing at a Shia mosque in the northern city of Kunduz that killed scores of people.
