Joburg Water Expects Water to Lenasia, Lenasia South & Surrounds to be Restored on Friday Morning
Johannesburg Water says it expects the supply of water to Lenasia, Lenasia South and surrounds to be restored Friday morning.
A number of suburbs have been left dry without water for more than a day.
Johannesburg Water says its team will be putting temporary measures in place to get the water running at Lenasia High Level Reservoir while the fittings which have to be specially made due to material requirements and pipe size will be sourced.
“We anticipate that by 11am water will be restored, however low areas such as Lehae, Vlakfontein, Lenasia South will receive water first while high areas such Zakariyya Park and Vlakfontein extension 3 will get water when the pipeline is filled due to elevation.”
Johannesburg Water has appealed to residents to use water sparingly indicating that level one water restrictions are still in place.
