Lenovo Unveils Upgraded Smart Tab with Built in Alexa

Lenovo has unveiled the upgraded Smart Tab M10 FHD Plus (2nd Gen) with Alexa Built-in which enables the popular hands-free ‘Show Mode’ experience from the voice assistant when docked and charging in its Smart Dock.

The Lenovo Smart Tab also has the added benefit of being a full-function Android tablet.

Lenovo says by using customer insights to identify opportunities for improvement, the newly designed tablet is easier to set up and sports a more expansive 10.3-inch Full HD IPS screen, a faster and more powerful mobile processor.

Designed to be portable and light at 460 grams, the technology inside the Lenovo Smart Tab gets a significant boost with up to 2.3Ghz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 mobile processor for more multitasking.

It also features a TDDI chip (Touch and Display Driver Integration) for better and more efficient display and touch sensing for up to 9 hours of battery life.

The Lenovo Smart Tab boasts a facial unlock feature with its integrated camera, ‘Drop In’ calling feature that serves as a modern two-way intercom and advanced Alexa communication features such as messaging and voice/video calling between supported devices, at no additional cost.

The enhanced Kid’s Mode offers parental controls, dedicated kids’ content, and specialized eye protection features to reduce harmful blue light, plus ‘posture’ and ‘bumpy environment’ alerts to encourage a healthy viewing gesture when hand-holding the tablet.

When the tablet is hand-held, watching YouTube and playing games gets better with four-sided narrow bezel with up to 4.6 mm (0.18 inches) slim borders on each side, plus dual front-facing speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos for immersive sound.

South African Pricing and Availability

The Lenovo Smart Tab M10 FHD Plus (2nd Gen) with Alexa Built-in will start at R4999 including VAT and is expected to be available from mid – end of June 2020 with select retailers, on Lenovo.com, and via select telecommunications channels.
