Huawei Watch D2 with blood pressure monitor launches in SA
Following rave reviews, Huawei has officially launched the D2, the brand’s first smartwatch featuring wrist-based ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM).
The compact smartwatch makes monitoring your blood pressure effortless, anytime and anywhere, with just a touch.
During the day, you can set smart reminders for easy blood pressure checks, measuring it effortlessly by simply raising your wrist. At night, the watch automatically tracks your blood pressure with minimal disturbance, ensuring a restful and uninterrupted sleep.
Additionally, the Huawei Watch D2 works with both iOS and Android devices, making it accessible to everyone.
Features
Boasting a 1.82-inch large screen with a new colourful user interface and a 2.5D floating design, the new D2 is also much smaller than traditional upper-arm monitors, with an ultra-narrow 26.5mm airbag.
The Huawei Watch D2 uses an inflatable airbag to measure blood pressure at set intervals, with reminders during the day and automatic readings at night.
It supports various measurement scenarios, including standing, sitting, or reclining during the day, and performs automatic measurements during sleep.
ABPM is recognised as the gold standard for diagnosing and managing hypertension. It’s recommended by major health guidelines, including the ISH 2020 Global Hypertension Practice Guidelines, the 2017 ACC/AHA Blood Pressure Guidelines, and the 2018 ESC/ESH Guidelines for the management of Arterial Hypertension.
