Gauteng Province Intensifies COVID-19 Vaccination Programme with ‘Jabs on the Job’ Campaign

The Gauteng government is intensifying its vaccination programme to vaccinate as many people as possible and target areas with low vaccine uptake.

The ‘Jabs on the Job’ campaign is aimed at improving access to vaccines for employees, contractors, and surrounding communities.

The province said many employers have partnered with government and are setting up vaccination sites at their business premises to ensure the economy returns to full activity.

“The Gauteng Provincial Government calls on employers and any institution that would like their employees to get the jab to forward their requests to popupsite@gauteng.gov.za or call the Gauteng Hotline on: 0800 22 88 27. Vaccination education is been provided.”

Over 8 million vaccinations have been administered in Gauteng with 5 million people receiving one dose of either Johnson and Johnson or Pfizer and 4.1 million people have been fully vaccinated in the province.
