Fourteen Injured after Taxi Crashes into Car in Dinwiddie
At least fourteen people have been injured, two critically after a taxi crashed into the side of a light motor vehicle on Black Reef Road in Dinwiddie.
Paramedics say on arrival at the scene on Monday, they found the taxi and light motor vehicle in the middle of the road.
ER24’s Russel Meiring said two men were seen lying in the car while twelve patients from the taxi were walking around.
“Medics assessed the patients and found the two men in the car were in critical condition while the twelve from the taxi had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fire Services had to use the jaws-of-life equipment to free the one trapped patient from the car.”
Meiring said the injured patients were transported to nearby hospitals for further care.
