Family of Three Killed in Head-On Collision Between Magaliesburg & Koster in North West Province

Two people and a young child have been killed after a motor vehicle and a truck collided head-on and burst into flames on the R509 between Magaliesburg and Koster outside Derby in the North West province.

Paramedics say on arrival at the scene on Thursday, they found the truck and car smashed together and on fire.

ER24 said after the Provincial Fire Services extinguished the blaze, medics found the bodies of a man, woman and young girl inside the car.

“Unfortunately, all three patients had already succumbed to their injuries. Nothing could be done for them, and they were declared dead. The driver of the truck, fortunately, escaped injury.”

ER24 said local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
