Eleven Injured after Taxi Rolls on R550 in Eikenhof

At least eleven people were left injured when the taxi they were travelling in rolled on the R550 in Eikenhof, south of Johannesburg.

Paramedics say they arrived on scene to find the taxi on its side in the centre median.

ER24’s Russel Meiring said the passengers had already climbed out of the vehicle and were standing on the side of the road.

“Medics assessed the patients and found that eleven adults had sustained minor to moderate injuries. No serious injuries or fatalities were found. The patients were treated and later transported to nearby hospitals for further care.”

Meiring said the details surrounding the incident is unknown, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
