Eleven Injured After Taxi Rolls on N17 in Germiston

At least eleven people were injured when the taxi they were travelling in rolled on the N17 near the Rondebult turnoff in Germiston.

Paramedics say on arrival at the scene on Thursday, they found the taxi and trailer on its side in the middle of the busy road.

ER24’s Russell Meiring said the passengers were seated on the side of the road.

“Medics assessed the patients and found that ten adults and an 11-year-old girl had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were discovered. Medics treated the patients and later transported them to nearby hospitals for further care.”

Meiring said the details surrounding the accident is unknown, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
