An Eastern Cape community is in shock after five family members were murdered at their home in Tsolo earlier this week.
It is understood the family aged between 18 and 82 were sleeping their home in the Tshisane Locality when four suspects entered their different rooms and started firing shots at them.
The suspects aged between 22 and 32 and believed to be from the same locality where the incident occurred have been arrested
The police’s Tembinkosi Kinana said they were alerted to the scene by members of the local community.
“The motive for the incident is not yet known at this stage, however, five murder cases that were subsequently opened are currently under investigation. Lieutenant General Nomthetheleli Mene appreciated the work of the detectives for the remarkable breakthrough in less than 24 hours.”
