Crime Continues to Plague Lenasia after Home Break-In
Crime continues to plague Lenasia, south of Johannesburg following a number of incidents over the weekend.
In the latest incident, criminals broke into a home in Smew Avenue near Signet Terrace on Monday morning.
It is understood the suspects stole various items before fleeing the scene.
It is unclear if anybody was home at the time of the robbery.
This is the latest in a string of crime being committed in the suburb.
Over the weekend, two vehicles were hijacked in Lenasia extension five and extension eight, while a business was also robbed in the CBD.
Lenasians have been urged to take precaution with calls from the community for the local ward councillors and police to take a much more proactive approach to address and alleviate the crime plaguing the suburb.
