Apple iTunes Now Available on Microsoft Windows Store
Apple is finally bringing its iTunes app to Microsoft’s Windows 10 app store, nearly a year after it was originally announced and several months later than planned.
It’s exactly the same as any other version of iTunes, the only difference being that Apple provide updates through the Microsoft Store, in accordance with terms and conditions.
While functionally it’s the same as installing from a regular download the way Windows users always have used the Apple software, its inclusion in the store means it will also work on PCs running Windows 10 S (soon to be S mode).
Apple’s effort to bring iTunes to the Microsoft Store follows a similar move from Spotify, which brought its PC app to the Store last year using the Desktop Bridge.
