Two Injured after Fire Breaks Out at Informal Settlement in Lenasia
Two people have been injured after a fire broke out at an informal settlement in Lenasia Extension 9.
Paramedics say the blaze broke out on Sunday night and on arrival at the scene, found the City of Johannesburg EMS and CERT Lenasia battling the blaze, which had broken out on three informal settlements.
ER24’s Russel Meiring says authorities were on scene for further investigations
“Medics assessed several people that had been around the settlements and found that two people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.”
Meiring says the patients were treated and thereafter transported to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital for further care.
