Vodacom Announces Apple Watch Series 5 Cellular Available from 22 May

Mobile service provider Vodacom has announced it will be offering the cellular version of the Apple Watch Series 5.

The device features an Always-On display, communication, fitness and health capabilities including built-in cellular.

To help Apple Watch Series 5 (GPS + Cellular) customers get started, Vodacom says it will also offer an introductory cellular trial.

Apple Watch Series 5 with cellular allows customers to stay connected, make calls and receive texts while international emergency calling allows customers to call emergency services directly from Apple Watch, even without iPhone nearby.

Customers who purchase Apple Watch Series 5 will get three months free subscription and have seamless connection with their primary number, with Vodacom’s OneNumber.

The Apple Watch will start retailing for R 7,599 for the 38mm Series GPS + Cellular, while the Series 5 will start retailing from R 12, 699 for the 40mm Series 5 GPS + Cellular.
