Lenasia police investigating murder after complaint of dead body at Ahmed Kathrada Hospital

Lenasia police are investigating a case of murder receiving a complaint of a dead body at the Ahmed Kathrada Lenmed Hospital in Lenasia.

It is understood that paramedics attended to a scene at the Thembelihle Informal Settlement and transferred the body to the hospital.

The police’s Bafana Ndimande said an on duty nurse at the hospital informed officers about body.

“The victim sustained stab wounds on the upper body and he was certified dead on arrival. The motive for the murder is unknown at this stage. The pathologists transferred the deceased to Diepkloof Government Mortuary.”

Ndimande has urged anyone with information about the individual that may lead to the arrest of the perpetrator to contact police.
