Lenasia Businessman Yaseen Bhiku Found Safe after Kidnapping

A businessman who was kidnapped in Lenasia has been found safe.

Yaseen Bhiku was reportedly freed on Thursday night.

In a message being circulated on social media, Bikhu’s family stated that he had returned home.

“Alhamdulillah Yasin Bhikhu has come home safely with everyone’s duaas. We appreciate and thank everyone for their support given in our trying time. We regret we will not be taking any visitors please understand we need our privacy, jazakallah khair, remember us in your duaas.”

Bhiku, an Indian national was kidnapped last month after returning from early dawn prayers at a local mosque. 

He was grabbed while standing next to another individual by a group unknown armed suspects travelling in a Mercedes-Benz SUV.

Bhiku did try and fight off the suspects before they kidnapped him. 

Bhiku’s kidnapping is the latest in an increasing trend of abductions in the country.
