[UPDATE] Criminals Attempt to Rob Jewellery Store at Trade Route Mall in Lenasia

Criminals have attempted a robbery at the Sterns jewellery store at the Trade Route Mall in Lenasia.

It understood the attempted robbery took place on Monday afternoon.

According to reports warning shots were fired and the suspects fled the scene empty-handed.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remains unclear.

A bystander who wanted to remain anonymous told Wired2News that she heard people screaming.

“The people were running out of the mall. There was a group of people at Entrance 3. I asked the security what was happening, but he was unsure.”

This is the second time Sterns was targeted at the Trade Route Mall after criminals robbed the store on 12 September last year.
