Lenasia South Residents Left without Power for almost Six Hours
Lenasia South residents have been left without power for almost six hours.
It is unclear what the caused the outage on Monday, but residents have been inundating City Power to assist with the restoration of electricity.
In a tweet City Power said its team will investigate the outage.
“We currently receiving large volume of calls on Lenasia outage. Technicians will be dispatched after attending the Ennerdale outage to investigate and start working on restoration.”
Last week a fire that gutted the feeder board on one of the transformers at the Lotus Substation near Lenasia just after midnight.
Environment Infrastructure Services Department MMC Michael Sun visited the damaged substation on Friday which plunged most of the area into darkness.
City Power said it will be launching an investigation into cause of the blaze.
