SA Beat India in Third Test at Newlands to Win Series 2-1

South Africa have beaten India in the third and final test match at Newlands Cricket Ground by a convincing 7 wickets bagging a 2-1 series victory.

The Proteas resumed Day 4 on 101/2 needing 212 to win with Keegan Petersen and Rassie van der Dussen in the middle ready to steer the Proteas to victory.

India had their breakthrough later when Petersen was bowled by new bowler Shardul Thakur for a hard fought 82 runs.

Van der Dussen and Temba Bavuma (32 not out) took South Africa to victory 35 minutes after lunch with an unbeaten stand of 57.

The Proteas lost the first Test at Centurion but came from behind to win the second and third Tests at the Wanderers and Newlands.
